Compliance

The regulatory frameworks our platforms are designed to support.

Our approach to compliance

Intellidata is the FinTech and Advanced Analytics division of Converge Group. Our platforms are built for regulated environments where compliance is an architectural constraint — not a feature layer. Every alert, decision and investigation workflow in Themis and Maestro is designed to be explainable, auditable and defensible to regulators and courts.

Regulatory frameworks supported

  • Financial Action Task Force (FATF) — 40 Recommendations and Methodology
  • Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA) — South Africa
  • Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT)
  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — EU
  • Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) — South Africa
  • Basel Committee on Banking Supervision — AML/CFT guidelines

Explainability and audit trails

Every risk decision generated by Themis is accompanied by a structured explanation grounded in observable data. Maestro maintains a complete, immutable audit trail of every case action, investigator decision and approval. This documentation supports both internal review and external examination requirements.

Model governance

We apply formal model governance processes to all AI and machine learning components within our platforms. This includes documented development methodology, validation testing, performance monitoring, drift detection and change management procedures — in alignment with SR 11-7 guidance and evolving AI regulatory expectations.

Our internal compliance programme

As a technology provider operating in regulated sectors, Intellidata maintains its own internal compliance programme covering data protection, information security, supplier due diligence and ethical AI use. We review and update this programme regularly to reflect changes in the regulatory landscape.
